The Honda Insight is ripping up hybrid car competition on and off the dealership lot. With other car companies jumping in the green car ring with base prices of $30,000 to over $40,000, Honda is keeping its quality Insight on the low end of pricing, but still?

The automaker is attempting to produce a line of EV's (electric vehicles) along with an all new hybrid plug-in car by 2012.

Honda hopes to launch a compact electric car and mid and large-sized plug-in hybrids capable of up to 140 miles per gallon.
