Honda has teased the public with their 2011 and 2012 Civic facelift for months. Auto spies have attempted to catch the sedan uncovered on the test course - and artists have rendered the car to guess what it will look like. But now the new front end has been officially unveiled - or at least that's what Honda wants us to believe.
The new Civic images shows off only minor grille changes to go along with a completely new alloy wheel design. Exterior enhancements for the 2011 Honda Civic grille are influenced by the recently discontinued high performance Type R.
The new alloy wheels are now a standard option, with design and size varying by model. A new 1.4 liter three-door Type S models boasts body-colored side skirts, and a new 'Ionized Bronze' paint.
On the inside there are all new trim finishes to the 2011 Civic. Honda's ES and SE trim get half-fabric, half-Alcantara upholstery, while the Si variant includes half-leather and Alcantara, along with heated front seats for those chilly fall and winter commutes.
No reported changes to the engine of the Civic, and starting price will remain the same.
Production is set to begin this November, so you can expect the new Honda Civic in showrooms early next year.
