When you are looking for a top competitor in the hybrid market, there should be no hesitation after test driving the Honda Insight. For 2012, this hybrid car will get a bit of a refresh, both in performance and style.

It is easy to see the major additions and upgrades to the updated Insight but there are other notable improvements that need to be highlighted.

Additions and improvements include better air conditioning, more angular design for better aerodynamics, both of which give the car a bump in fuel economy. Front suspension is now constructed from aluminum instead of steel, causing less cabin noise and vibrations. Honda has also improved quality of materials used in seats and dash materials, as well as increased head room. Insight's spoiler has been slimmed down too.

Those US-spec Insights include an upgraded audio system with added features, as well as navigation.
