Ventura County, CA residents, Matt and Becky Walton are definitely Honda fanatics. The couple has owned a total of four Honda vehicles in the past, including models like Honda N600 sedan and a Honda Z600 coupe starting in the 1970's. Most recently, the couple drove a Honda Odyssey minivan, but found that they wanted something a little more efficient.
And that's exactly what they got. The latest addition to their personal Honda lineup is none other than the Japanese automaker's first all-electric vehicle: the 2013 Honda Fit EV.
Matt and Becky Walton received the key to their new
Fit EV at their local new Honda dealership. "It's truly an honor to take
delivery of the first Honda Fit EV and participate in the advancement of
all-electric vehicles in the real world,"1 says Mr.
Walton.
As the Waltons enjoy their new Fit EV, Honda will be paying close attention to their usage and feedback as well as that of other lease customers in California and Oregon. As Honda gauges the public's reaction to the electric car, they plant to make production and availability changes as deemed necessary.
We hope that means availability will be expanded beyond two states on the west coast, and we're guessing we're not alone in that sentiment. In the end, however, only time will tell when the Honda Fit EV will be available to greater Glendale area drivers.
That said, we invite you to stay tuned for more information on the limited release of the Honda Fit EV. Diamond Honda of Glendale is dedicated to keeping you in the know from now until when it's available for a test drive at 138 S. Glendale Ave. Glendale, CA 91205 for a test drive.
