Every year, J.D. Power and Associates surveys people who have bought a new-model vehicle, following 90-days after the purchase. Officially called the Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) study, the survey assesses customers' satisfaction with about 100 vehicle features (i.e., riding and handling and comfort and convenience). In the end, the APEAL study reveals, which features people find most appealing about their new vehicles. It is a great honor for automakers to earn a place in the study. Honda CR-Z Turbo, Rumors or True

Honda is having so much success with their CR-Z, that the auto maker is planning to offer a turbocharged engine as an option for late 2011 for its CR-Z hybrid coupe. This forced-induction 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine may be offered in two different versions - which includes a 200-horsepower edition for the new CR-Z Type R.

On Friday Honda Motor Co. announced that it will start producing its state of the art gas-electric hybrid cars in China. It won't be easy for foreign automakers - China is planning tougher rules to force them to hand over electric-car technology to Chinese companies in exchange for market access.
